The Caduceus of Hermes

Known as the symbol of the Enlightened Healer. Our inspiration for using this symbol came from the book Spiritual Nutrition by Gabriel Cousens, M.D.

On our own journey we have explored many practices that aim to bring the body and mind into balance from Reiki to acupuncture, from herbal remedies to various forms of detoxification and fasting practices.

The Caduceus of Hermes combined with the seven chakras symbolises unifying the many paths a person may take to reach balance, harmony, self realisation, enlightenment and as Gabriel Cousens mentions communion with the divine. Many paths to the same goal you could argue.

The use of the Chakras is simple our background from the beginning is a yogic one and so we are respecting where our journey begun and where it still ventures and will do for our time on this planet.

The colours of the 7 chakras symbolize the energy centers throughout the body.

Red - Root chakra which functions for survival, groundedness and courage.

Orange -Sacral chakra which functions for pro-creation (sexuality), self-identity, self-esteem & creativity.

Yellow - Solar plexus chakra which functions for ambition, achievement, will power and control.

Green -Heart chakra which functions for love, compassion and immunity.

Blue -Throat chakra which functions for communication and expression of truth.

Indigo -Brow/Third eye chakra which functions for intuition.

Violet - Higher crown chakra which functions for self-realization and bliss.

Through practicing health promoting actions such as yoga, good nutrition and all other holistic therapies, the body is brought into a state of healing with the purpose of returning the individual to their full potential.
